This was our contribution at “France–Roumanie : dynamiques économiques et opportunités”, held at the Romanian Embassy in Paris as part of the 30th anniversary of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania (CCIFER).

The discussions brought together business leaders and institutional representatives to explore industrial competitiveness, energy security, investment and opportunities for stronger Franco-Romanian cooperation.
Representing Hatwit International in the #Energy & Industry roundtable, I focused on an essential element of this transformation: the people and leadership capabilities needed to #makeithappen.

From our experience working with international companies, three capabilities are becoming increasingly critical:

• Technological understanding – knowing how digitalization, automation and AI can reshape business operations.
• Operational leadership – understanding the business from the ground up, identifying operational inefficiencies and building solid processes before introducing new technologies. Digitalizing an inefficient operating model doesn’t automatically make it more efficient.
• Change leadership – guiding organizations and people through transformation, ensuring that new technologies and ways of working translate into sustainable business performance.
  Technology can be purchased, but the ability to transform an organization depends on its people and leadership.

My sincere thanks to H.E. Ioana Bivolaru, Ambassador of Romania to France, for the warm welcome, and to Adriana Record and the entire CCI Française en Roumanie team, together with CCI Paris IdF, for organizing this event and creating a valuable platform for dialogue between the French and Romanian business communities.

An insightful evening at Deloitte Luxembourg, exploring the evolving financial and business ties between #Luxembourg and #Romania. From the opening remarks of H.E. Alexandrina-Livia Rusu, Ambassador of Romania to Luxembourg, to Marius Cara’s perspectives from the European Investment Bank (EIB) , and a thought-provoking panel featuring banking and fintech leaders, moderated by Pascal Martino and Andrei Burz-Pinzaru, the evening offered valuable insights into European financial cooperation and cross-border investment.

Joanna spent the last 20 years in HR at Kromberg & Schubert, Continental and Preh. Over the years, she has recruited, assessed and developed people at every level, run assessment centres, built succession plans and worked with teams across many countries.

She studied Organisational Psychology and is a Certified Assessor. Because she has spent her career inside industrial companies, she knows first-hand what it takes to make good talent decisions – and that is the perspective she now brings to our clients.

At Hatwit, Joanna will work on Executive Search, Interim Management and Leadership Consulting projects for clients across Central & Eastern Europe and Western Europe.
